Buying a used or new car 

Are you looking for a used or new car? Have a look at several occasions and new cars from all price ranges of our advertisers.  To make the search even easier, it is possible to select by brand, price, year of manufacture, odometer reading and the power of the cars. This way you can compare and see only the cars that meet your requirements.  

When is it officially your car?  

Bought a car? It's only officially your car when the license plate is in your name. With the seller's help, you can have the license plate put in your name.  

Conditions for transfer in the Netherlands 

For persons: 

• You are at least 18 years old 
• You live in the Netherlands and are registered with the municipality in the Basic Registration of Persons 
• You have to transfer the licence plate to your name yourself 
• The registration certificate must be complete 
  If the seller of the vehicle has lost the vehicle registration certificate and/or the registration code, he/she must request a new vehicle registration certificate from us before he/she can sell the car to you. If the vehicle has a paper registration, the Vehicle Registration Certificate Part I may be missing. 

For companies: 

• Your company is a legal entity and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce. 
• Your company is not a one-man business, shipping company, partnership or legal form in formation. 
• The registration certificate is complete. 

Insured on the road 

If the registration certificate has been issued in your name, it is wise to take out the compulsory third-party insurance immediately. Do you go for the mandatory third-party liability, or do you opt for WA+ Limited Comprehensive or WA+ Full Comprehensive? Talk to an insurance advisor about your wishes in order to make a choice!
