The Manitou Group
Manitou is a French manufacturer of telehandlers, wheel loaders, aerial work platforms and forklift trucks, among other things. Since its founding in 1957, it has produced machines for both indoor and outdoor use, and Manitou was the first company to develop a forklift specifically for rough terrain.
Manitou product ranges
Like most manufacturers of heavy equipment, Manitou brings out its products in different series. The best known are:
Manitou Twisco Range. This includes telescopic handlers and reach trucks. These machines are characterised by their high degree of mobility, as a result of which they are often used on terrain with little open space, such as in greenhouses.
Manitou Buggiscope Range. Fully automated forklift trucks with a lifting capacity of up to 4 tonnes.
Manitou Agricultural Range. Wheel and telescopic loaders that can be equipped with various attachments for, among other things, moving hay bales or levelling the ground surface.
Manitou Construction Range. In this series you will find the larger telescopic loaders and telehandlers. This range is characterised by large wheels with a coarse profile that enable you to work on rough terrain without losing stability.
Manitou Heavy Lift Range. These are the telehandlers and forklift trucks with the largest load capacity. This varies from 5 to 16 tonnes of lifting capacity. In addition, the range is enormous; 6 metres is no exception.
A versatile brand thanks to various accessories Manitou has set itself the goal of being able to perform several tasks with the same machine.
