From the early 1950s, family-owned Nooteboom had a taste for building large transport solutions. The company's innovative strength was highlighted in 1953 with the development of the first flatbed trailer with swing-out wheel sets. This enabled transport professionals to make much sharper turns with a long low loader. Since then, Nooteboom has been synonymous with innovation, reliability and durability.

Low loader or semi low loader? Both are suitable for transporting large indivisible loads and both have 3 to 5 axles. However, a low loader is easier to load because the loading surface is just above the ground. As a result, a low loader is also more stable on the road. The advantage of a semi-low loader, on the other hand, is that the ground clearance is much higher because the load is above the axles.
